PoPcOrN

HEALTHY benefits of popcorn!  Yep, popcorn is healthy...if eaten the right way.  I have the "Presto" popcorn popper and it makes popcorn popping fun, easy, and healthy.


Unsalted, unbuttered, unsugared, etc. popcorn has great health benefits.  "Air-popped popcorn is naturally high in fiber, low in calories and fat, contains no sodium, and is sugar free."  (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Popcorn#cite_note-14).

On another note... Just something to be aware of:
Microwave buttered popcorn has been found to be dangerous to the lungs.  There is a flavoring called "diacetyl".  "The United States National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health has suggested that diacetyl, when used in artificial butter flavoring (as used in many consumer foods), may be hazardous when heated and inhaled over a long period"  (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Diacetyl#Worker_safety).  It is also used as a mosquito repellent!  That's certainly something I don't want to eat.
